Make sure the glass is closed, kneel on the drivers seat facing the rear of the car. Grab the sunshade with one hand on each side then pull the passenger side more than the drivers side, basically twisting the shade from side to side as you tug it firmly forward. Worked for mine hope it works for yours.

SOURCE: shade for 93 honda wont close. window works fine.

I don't know if this will work, but you can try it. If you use the manual method for closing the moonroof, or opening it, it MIGHT take the shade along with it. The following is the procedure, which you may already know.
The moonroof can be closed manually, if the control switch will not close it.
1. Remove the round plug near the rear center of the headliner.
2. Insert the moonroof wrench (from the tool kit, should be in the trunk) into the socket.
3.Turn the wrench until the moonroof seats in the closed position.
4. Replace the plug.
As I say, this MIGHT work. Hope it helps.

How do i close the sunroof on my 1999 toyota camry? it is stuck open with the bottom shade stuck.

you may have to strip out the roof lining to gain access to the sunroof component if you cant pull the sun visor free , dont keep pressing the power button as could at the least blow the fuse , at worst burn out the motor

Sliding shade is stuck and won't slide. Glass is down in 1 corner, not flush with roof

the shade may be related to sunroof not closeing completely, the most common reason is the track is broken , this is the most common reason for when the sun roof doesnt close or jams when opening or closing its always the track breaks, the way to check this is to easy the headliner needs to be dropped and removed and then the glass from sunroof removed then unbolt track and drop down into car and check the track linkage and arms and track and see whats broken, note there are no replacement parts only motor or cable, as far as the parts that always break like an arm on the track this is not replaceable the track needs to be replaced, hope this helps , good luck.

Chevrolet 2004 Tahoe Sun Roof Problem

I have built, repaired and installed sunroofs for 20 years. Its hard to tell what problem is, so many variations for motors with relays, cams, programed circuit boards. To get the roof closed you can drop motor usually 3 screws then pull glass forward as far as you can, then from inside of truck you will have to take a screw driver and finish sliding cable forward somehow. When sliding by hand watch on the inside to see what parts are moving so you can finish sliding forward. Hope this helps.

How do you remove the sun shade on the sunroof of a 1996 Audi A4?

The sunroof assembly has to be removed from the car before the shade can be removed.

Start with the sunroof glass, put the glass in tilt mode and remove the plastic covers hiding the bolts. Mark the bolts with white out so they go back where they were, remove the 6 T25 torx bolts. Push the glass out from the top and remove the glass. This should allow you to remove the shade.

1998 Audi A6 sunroof is will close only half way.

make it go back to the open position, look down the side of the tracks in the roof that the sun shade slides in and you will probable find the guides for the sunshade are jamming up the tracks. only way to replace them<4 one in each corner> is to remove the glass section and then close sunshade that will give access to the 4 guides which are available from dealer as a kit
