My 2007 Range Rover will shift out of drive while braking or just driving. if i hold the handle in drive or select sport mode there is no problem.

While drive own the road my range rover will shift into neutral. It will also cause the D in the info center to disappear while i am braking. It will not always shift to neutral when i brake but does often. If i hold the selector handle in drive or put it into sport mode or manual shift mode there is no problem. It feels to me like the handle doesn't click into drive which allows the handle to slip forward. or is there an adjustment on the tranny that i need to look at. Thanks for the help

I would be looking at an adjustment problem or a stuck dedent ball ( in the shift lever base)that is causing the problem

How to disengage shift interlock when shifter stuck at P

Info on the shift interlock is usually found in the owners manual. If the solenoid that locks the shifter into park fails or the switch that activates it (probably located on the brake pedal since you have to step on the brake to select a drive gear) fails there is usually a way to manually override the system. Your owners manual should have that information.

Or ...do some sleuthing on line with a search engine. Just about guaranteed you are not the only Range Rover owner on the planet this has happened to.

Change 24 hour clock non military time

You could select the 12 Hour clock mode instead of 24 hour as it may be set at now.

Also it needs to be confirmed if the audio system fitted to your vehicle supports 12 hour clock. Please check the two documents below after turning to the section on Clock setting. The menus to set this could vary depending on which audio system you have.

I feel vibration in the steering wheel of my 2007 Range Rover Sport when in Drive and Standing Still at a stop light

Check you motor mounts to see if the are bad. Rubber bushings that attach the mother to the frame. Sometimes these break and will cause the motor to shake.

What does "B" & "S" Mean on Vitz Automatic Gear Transmission?

I have recently bought a vitz/ yaris 2006 imported from Japan. Local dealers/ automobile mechanics have told me that S is for Speed i.e. you should ideally shift to this one when you cross 100 kmph. Another view on this ''S'' gear is for sporty driving overall when you can use a surge of fuel for higher acceleration.
'B' as I have been told is for driving in hilly areas on rather steep & continous inclines & declines.
Please do note that this information is from off the streets & cannot be authenticated from any toyota mannual yet. I with Toyota would itself offer english translationso of owner's handbooks online.

Range Rover Sport Pinion and introduction

This new five-passenger premium sport-utility vehicle filled a price gap between Land Rover's LR3 and its ultraluxury Range Rover models. In fact, the all-wheel-drive Range Rover Sport was smaller than either, designed to compete with "high-performance" SUVs such as V8 versions of the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne, as well as Cadillac's SRX. Based on the seven-passenger LR3's body-on-frame structure, the Range Rover Sport came as the HSE model with a 300-horsepower, 4.4-liter V8, and in Supercharged trim with a 390-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8. Both engines were sourced from Jaguar, which was owned by Land Rover's parent company, Ford. A six-speed automatic with manual shift gate was the sole transmission. All-wheel drive with low-range gearing was standard, and included Land Rover's Terrain Response system, designed to automatically tailor AWD performance to specific off-road conditions. Also included were a height-adjustable air suspension, antiskid/traction control, and antilock four-wheel disc brakes. The Supercharged model came with 20-inch wheels and Brembo-brand front brakes. On the HSE, 19-inch tires were standard and 20-inch optional. Both models contained front side airbags, head-protecting curtain side airbags, and a navigation system. Standard on the Supercharged model and available for the HSE were wood interior trim, heated seats, and Land Rover's Dynamic Response suspension system, designed to counteract body lean in turns. Satellite radio, wireless cell phone link capability, and rear DVD entertainment were options. Adaptive cruise control was available for the Supercharged edition.
