Your spark plug wires go to coils, coils sit on top of ignition module.You have two crank sensors, if crank sensor issue, check the 7x crank sensor, on back side of engine block, down low, two wire connector, wire colors, yellow and purple.
don't know if you have had any luck yet.. the radio displays on those older gm cars do just simply fail , I have had 4 in that 96 to 99 time frame and each one just quit suddenly. I believe as crazy as it sounds that the display runs thru the radio. gm did this in all their newer cars in 2000 and up ..they use a data cable that runs thru the radio and feeds half the dash ..
The radio comes with a preassigned lock code that must be obtained from Pontiac. They will need you to follow these steps to retrieve two sets of numbers for them to call GM and obtain the assign lock code for your radio. STEP ONE: Press number 2 and number 3 simultaneously. Hold until the first set of numbers appear. Then press the AM/FM button on the radio for the last set of numbers to appear. Give those numbers to Pontiac, and they will call for the radio lock code. They will also provide you the steps to enter that code to unlock your radio.
