The d16y8 is used in the 1996 to 2000 Civic EX, as well as the 1996 and 1997 Del Sol. Both harnesses and ECUs will work from either.

SOURCE: replace window motor on 1997 del sol

Remove the door handle with one #2 phillips screw, push forward. Push the 2 plasic clips on the release handle and the lock rod by rotating them away from the open end of the clip (clockwise for drivers side, counterclockwise for passenger side). Pull the lock rod and relese out of the clips. Remove the phillips screw in the bottom of the door grab handle. Remove the small black plastic piece on the upper forward corner of the door panel. Remove door panel, should be aproximately 10-12 clips. Once off, you'll see the window motor. Remove the outer window trim. Yes, you WILL break all the clips. I've not had much sucess no matter how careful I am. Use a 10mm wrench or socket to remove the window from the window regulator. You'll see 2 white plastic wedges with 10mm head bolts in them. Pull the window out of the track. If needed, loosen or remove the rear guide track. There also are two 10mm bolts holding the guide rail in. Remove the windoe regulator and motor assembly with (I believe) 3 10mm bolts. Once on the bench, remove the motor from the regulator and reinstall!

SOURCE: 1996 honda del sol abs light stays on

If the ABS light is on, you have either a failing ABS (wheelspeed) sensor, or a bad ABS control module. You'll need a diagnostic scan to find out which it is. As for the owner's manual, there are a number of online owner's forums that will probably have the manual or at least the same information posted, or you can search eBay for one - they're common finds there.

Should I reset my ecu when I change the o2 sensor for a 94 del sol d16z6?

I believe if you are just changing it may not need to reset the ecu. but if you have a code and it is a faulty 02 sensor then you need to change the sensor and erase the code by disconnecting the ground cable of the battery for some time (I have heard from 10 sec to 2 min).

I want to put a b18c1 in a 93 del sol si. What exactly do I need to do this swap!!!PLEASE!!

the easiest, most direct swap is to get a 96-98 b18c1 USDM GSR motor. go to hmotorsonline.com if looking for motor. If you get the USDM harness, you won't have to cut/add wires because of the RHD issue. for the swapHmotorsonline.com and you can contact them with any questions and they will walk you through, i would ask for steve if he still works there. hope this is helpfu if so please leave positive rating.

What engines can fit in a 1997 honda del sol

Assuming you have a 1500. You can fit a d series, D16a1 or D16y8 (120-130bhp), a B16 (150) a B16a (JDM 160), a B18 from a Integra Tpre R (187), a K20 from a RSX, or a H22 from a Prelude. Most engines need a little work and wiring harnesses, but check it out thoroughly online on forums to udnerstand what is involved.

My personal choice would be a B16 or B18, light engines that are bulletproof.

Go for it :)

I need to take out my motor from my honda civic 1994 and put in anothe one from a honda del sol 1992.How do i do that???

Ensure first that you have the proper tools first such as hoist for the engine. You need to unplug all of the wiring from the engine. If possible use the same wiring harness without removing the protection. Secure the engine to the hoist and remove the engine support. As far as I know the engine should bolt on to the other car, just do the reverse of the process.
