Its asking you to check the fuses, one of them must be blown and is also causing the battery to drain its charge. So first check the fuses in the dashboard, check the wiring for any shorting of the circuit and then get the battery recharged once.................sodeep

My 2005 dodge neon's battery won't hold a charge, lights flicker and dim and on the dashboard the word fuse flashes, what is going on?

Could be a bad battery but I suspect your battery cable is either loose or corroded or dirty. Before you pull the battery disconnect your battery cables and clean them both ends and when you put them back on make sure you have good connections and tighten good.If that does not work pull your battery and get it tested at a battery out let . they should do that for free.

2000 dodge neon when starting car the word fuse comes on and flashes on dash

FUSE in the odometer window means the IOD (Ignition-Off Draw) fuse in the Power Distribution Center under the hood is blown, removed, or has a failure in the wiring.

This fuse is removed during long-term storage on the dealer lot before the car is originally sold to keep the battery from being drained by dome lights left on, radio memory, etc. It has a yellow holder around it for quick identification. EVERY Neon built has one of these fuses; and every Chrysler product has one dating back to probably the original LH cars in '93.

My neon will not move!

Check the main fuse. It's typically a 80 to 120 amp fuse. It's also typically the largest one in the fuse box. It won't look like a normal fuse and also may bolt into the fuse box. Disconnect the battery before checking anything in the fuse box. If the fuse is good reconnect the battery cables and make sure everything is tight .

Odometer flashing fuse

I had this happen to me last night. For some reason, the battery was dead. I hooked up a charger and got it started. The battery light came on and then went away after the car ran for a little while.

In my case, it flashed "fuse" and it was a dead battery.
