It also states "active accesory". I have a dead battery as the result of the car not turning completely off
SOURCE: I changed the battery, car was sitting for 8 month
Excellent posts. The battery died because the system kept trying to drain the voltage from the battery since the alarm and other minor vehicle systems kept trickling power from the battery. We know what happens to batteries when we find them in a toy that was left on way too long - they leak acid out of them.
Lead acid batteries can only take so many charges.
One very cheap and innovative solution is to rejuvinate dead batteries from fake salt, check out the videos on youtube.
Sorry but the battery needs to be around 12 volts to start the vehicle and a corroded battery post alone reduces cranking amps by 80 percent.
You may see 12 volts on the battery with a tester but when you try to crank it over and start it you need the amperage to do it.
That battery may be able to be rejuvenated if thats the word for it, its special equipment that fixes the battery charge cycle but you may need new acid and mineral free water solution but check out the videos on youtube as I mentioned above and never pay for another battery. Oh, another one is SuperCapacitors in replacement of batteries.
Basically you need a better battery buddy.
I just offer some alternative and free energy solutions as well.
Sounds like a broken shift cable or stretched out have someone hold shifter like their putting the car into park , not running .
while they r doing this open hood find shift linkage try pushing it into park if it does then you've found your problem , and by the way please block wheels so car doesn't roll to remain safe while doing this .
