Stuck in park,tells me i have to push the brake but ive done that and not registering

If it is the park brake not releasing it might be a brake shoe that is not releasing. Put the vehicle in reverse and pay the clutch engagement (release - push down) to induce a oscillated motion to the vehicle. The brake should release. Servicing of the brakes should be done as soon as possible as binding should not occur when the park brake is used.

Try gently turning the wheel left or right as you try to shift. Truck starts ok I assume. Also apply brake. Maybe the switch thT tells it the brake is pushed is bad

have a helper. tell him to press brake pedal. you come to back of vehicle and see if the brake lights work when helper press the pedal. if lights don't work the tail light fuse has blown. so you cant take from park. and on some brands if horn fuse blown you cant take from park.

that is park lock failure, build into the shifter section,it has an
electric solenoid lock. and a bypass button.
in the glove box, see oper. guide, it tells you where the erg. release
button location, and varies by sub body type and options.
its hidden cover, or a slot, on most cars. the slot type is to insert
any key in slot and push. bang, it opens (brake set,etc)

on most new cars you have to be pushing the brake to change the gears ;) If you are pushing the brake the switch that tells the computer you are is bad

Try Pushing harder on the brake peddle the flush shouldn't have done any thing to the shifter the adjustment is off on the shift interlock

the way ive always done it is push the gas or let it sit but pushing the gas is the way i think is fastest and best.

Without the brake lights working the shift interlock can't release. Turn the key just off the "locked" position and you should be able to shift to neutral and start the engine then shift to drive or reverse. Just don't shift back into park until you are parking the car to leave it.

The neutral safety switch on the tranny is going out. Replace this switch and you should not have any more problems. This switch registers that your foot is on the brake before it will allow it to come out of park to keep kids from accidently engaging the shifter.

Do you Hear the (RATCHETING Noise when you Push the Pedal Down ? If Not Its Possibly the Spring that Holds Pressure Against The RATCHET PAW on the Mechenizm itself.
