Very low fluid levels can make trying to steer, erratic.also low fluid levels will burn out the power steering pump.if the leak is minor try using a sealer like lucas. and make sure to keep the reservior full

Sounds like maybe your alternator's going
Get to an auto parts store and have them check your alternator and battery usually for free....Advanced Auto Parts does this for me free.

SOURCE: coolent leeking and cooling fans mot working

you need to locate leak coolant fan not going to come on if coolant low because the coolant make the coolant sensors tell computer to turn on fans at 190.F.sensor has to be in coolant.it act as a thermostat.you need to fix leak.or you will have engine damage.

My Mazda tribune is leeking steering fluid, is it safe to drive?

You can still drive, but steering will require a lot of effort, especially at low speed. You will want to have that fixed.

As your fluid may be full your pump might not be working properly

check all the power steering lines for blockages!

Good Luck!
