SOURCE: Thermostat location

you didn't mention what size engine you have, so i assumed its a 1.8L. thermostat is located at the housing just above the waterpump on the front of the engine. its #5 in the attached link http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=CJ11&mospid=48077&btnr=11_1393&hg=11&fg=35

My cooling fan is not cutting in on my bmw z3, i know the fan working fine so i suspect the relay /fuze has failed what it look like

The low speed side of that relay is the most common failure point in this system. Usually you can still hear the relay click, but the contact points are burned away.
I am not familiar with the Z3 fuse box, but the the first step in the diagnosis of that circuit is to pull the wire off the temperature sensor in the radiator. Use a paper clip to jumper from the high and low speed wires to the ground wire (ground is usually brown on BMWs). You will probably hear the relay click and the fan may or may not come on for either speed. If it clicks but the fan does not come on, and you know the fan works, just follow the sound of that click and replace the relay.
If the relay does not click, it may still be a relay problem, but check your fuses before replacing the relay..

My bmw 2002 z3 reverse lights wont come on. Its not the bulbs. What could it be?

There is nominally a fuse, relay, and a switch associated with your reverse lights. Possible repair listed from 'easy to hard' by escalation

easy:
disconnect your negative battery cable, check the fuse block. It should be a 20A fuse(#F203). Some models use a 10A fuse(#F26). Replace as needed
Reconnect the battery, test.
if that doesn't work...

moderate.
have already checked the fuse, check to see if you have a "reversing light relay" (K6325) (My 2001 z3 does not) If present, disconnect negative battery cable and replace the entire relay. It is not worth trying to refurbish them.
Reconnect the battery, test.
if that doesn't work...

hard...
If both the fuse and relay are in good order, it is likely a fault in your wiring or the "reversing light switch"(S8511)

On the manual transmission:
The switch is located on the left of the gertrag transmission
The switch is located on the right of the ZF transmission

unscrew the switch from the transmission
install the new switch, tighten to 15 ft-lbs torque

On the automatic transmission:
If replacing the fuse and relay did not work there is an issue with your transmission range switch, various shift solenoids, shift linkage, etc. I highly recommend a dealer or qualified facility's examination.

I hope this helped!

I have a 2001 BMW Z3. The battery went dead last

most new BMW's the fuse block is located behind the glove box. There should be a pair of twist plastic fastners at the back of the glove box, twist and remove the plate and you should find the fuse box and fuse locater list.

1993 318i windows and sunroof appear to have no power

I have a 1993 bmw 318i and the same problem..no power to the windows or sunroof and no lights on any of the window or sunroof switches. The ANSWER is take the kick panel of the driver side locate the blue relay next to the orange or brown relay.Take the blue relay out and either replace it or take the blue cap off the relay and check the solder to all pins. There is one or more pins where the solder has crack..just buy a soldering gun and some solder .015 diameter and re solder all the cracked solder on the pins and it is back to normal.

Air Bag stay on BMW Z3 2003?

There must be a problem with the air bag system for the light to be on, if the system was o.k. the light would be off and have a stored code. You cannot reset this light with a generic obd2 scanner. You need to access the air bag system and read what codes it has stored. Good Luck.
