Passenger Door Will Not Open from Inside or Outside

The passenger door on my 2002 Land Rover Range Rover will not open from either the inside or the outside. There is no key hole on the passenger side.

It's possible you could have a linkage rod come loose or the door latch may need to be replaced.

Sounds like you need a new door actuator[ie=entire door latch and locking unit]300. bucks and a bit of a pain.Check out the door opening procedure at rovers.net I think.Goooooood luck.

Range rover drivers door handle does not open the door when it is operated from the outside. The door opens correctly when the internal mechanism is pulled. The range is 2004 model.

you need to open the door cover from the inside and put the metal string in the out part of the door mechanism

You are going to have to remove inner door panel and check the outside door handle connections and connecting rods. The door handle does break sometimes.

It wont open from the inside? The outside? or both?. Inside the door panel there is a linkage responsible for opening the doors. If they are not connected then it wont open.

I don't know if this will help but, my 1999 is on the outside of the passenger seat. Open the passenger door and look down. I hope its the same and Good Luck!!

Range Rover Passenger Door Will Not Open

I have a 2002 land rover discovery and my passenger front door won't unlock with the interior lock button on the dash or with the key fob. The only way to unlock the door is to pull the handle on the inside of the door. Is the actuator bad?
