I drove to the store with no signs of a problem. Mileage is under 90K on my 1997 Buick LeSabre. After 10 minutes, I came out and tried to start my car and it would turn over but not fire up. Diagnostics check out fine with ignition, pressures, sentinel and fuel injection. What could be the problem?
Obviously can be one of a very large number of problems. If there are no trouble codes (DTCs), still could be a possible fuel delivery system (fuel pump, filter, regulator, throttle body) or ignition problem. I would start by checking the fuel pressure carefully - too high or low will cause this. Also the coil pack can fail without a trouble code - check for spark at a plug.

Crank sensor. Next time it does this spray some water on it and see if it cranks. Its by the crankshaft pulley towards front of car.

Your PATS security system is faulty...check the BCM up above the glovebox...Seems I've told you this before?

Take it to a real mechanic, not the phoney physics at the zone. The speed sensor will not respond if the car is not moving. May be an air flow sensor. They will go bad if it has ever been wet. They can be checked with a scan tool.

Sounds like you might have an oxygen sensor problem. Your catalytic converter(s) maybe defective or dirty. That in turn can dirty up the oxygen sensor. A defective oxygen sensor will send faulty info to the computer, interpreting the fumes as cold (even when the engine warms up). That causes the computer to adjust the fuel mixture to very rich, giving you poor gas mileage and the fuel smell. Hope it helps.
