the puddle lights on my subaru tribeca are supposed to go off after i push the lock button on the remote or just go off after a few seconds. the other day i noticed a burned smell coming from the dash, ever since, the puddle lights and the lower courtesy lights on the interior stay on all the time.the puddle lights on my subaru tribeca are supposed to go off after i push the lock button on the remote or just go off after a few seconds. the other day i noticed a burned smell coming from the dash, ever since, the puddle lights and the lower courtesy lights on the interior stay on all the time.

it is almost impossible to get concrete so level that water will not sit in small puddles after it sets
depending on the depth of the puddles you could top the concrete with an epoxy resin finish all over
if the low spots are small in size , maybe finishing with large tiles will be an answer
there are professional concrete surface finishers that can advise on the problem
How deep was the puddle...? I'm almost thinking water got into distributor cap,or car's computer, perhaps Alternator,or some electrical part...just a guess, mind you.
the "puddle lights" should go out about the same time as the interior lights, after removing the key from the ignition,if not try an alarm/immobiliser system reset as per the book.
It seems to me youre being taken for a ride, if the problem started when you drove over the water puddle then that means that some water go into a key component somehow, perhaps the fuel tank itself or an electrical component. I would stay away from that shop and try to replace the fuel in your vehicle, if its possible for you. also try to take it to autozone if you can, they wil plug the scanner to your vehicle and tell you why the engine light is on for FREE! Good Luck.
the flashing represents misfire codes i would try a set of autolite plugs and go from there of course you will have to go somewhere to get the light turned off possibly auto zone
