The horn problem could be a fuse or faulty horn most likely the fuse. airbag light could be a faulty relay or fuse. crunching sound in steering could be a sign of faulty rack and pinion good luck

SOURCE: Airbag sensor lights up and horn not working

you need to go to this site, http://www.airbagsolutions.com/contact.aspx and ask them how to pin your air bage module to get the trouble code it is the cheepest way and if you can't do that then you will have to take it to a mechanic at $60.00 for hook up, these guys charge $17.00 to help you figure outthe problem, and every car is different thats why I don't know how to pin it out.so do that and it will tell you if it is a serious problem or something that you can just clear the code.

SOURCE: 1999 toyota avalon horn works intermitely

I would suggest to you to have the spiral cable (or 'clockspring') replaced. This is the electrical unit that transfers power to the air bag, the horn and the cruise control.

It is located right under the seering wheel.

Your description of the issue indicates to me that your spiral cable is loose, and making intermittant contact. If the vehicle had an air-bag deployment, this cable-device should have been changed.

My horn sounds when i turn steering wheel but does not work when i actually press the horn. someone help as this is very annoying and awkward

this can be bypassed you will need to find the wire at the column for the horn, cut it and install a horn button on the dash. what it sounds like to me is there is a problem with the canceler in under the steering wheel, and they are hard to replace, and will set a airbag light ON.
you might be better off buying a steering wheel assembly from a junk yard, the dealer can turn off the airbag light..

I have a 1998 chrysler concorde. The airbag light on the dash stays on and my horn doesnt work. How do i fix this without costing me tons of money?

Could be a wiring problem or the clockspring in the steering column.
You would need to pull the steering wheel and test the circuits.

Horn just quit working.

Do you get a click when you press the button? The relay should be audibly clicking if it's working.
If it is clicking then I'd check the horn itself, might be bad or have loose connection. If no clicking sound at all then I'd suspect bad relay or fuse (if it has a dedicated one), also possibly bad switch.

REMOVE HOTWIRE HORN OR PRESS REMOTE BUTTON LOCK CAR DOORS IF YOU HEAR CAR HORN BLOWS WHEN ACTIVATE CAR ALARM. HORN WORKING.MORE LIKELY THE AIRBAG AND HORN PAD NEED REPLACING.IF YOU GOING TO FIX. DISABLE AIRBAG IN THE STEERING WHEEL BEFORE REPLACING THE AIRBAG AND HORN PAD. TURN OFF RADIO.THEN DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE FOR 20 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING AIRBAG IN STEERING WHEEL.THAT HORN PAD WITH AIRBAG IS NOT GOING TO BE CHEAP.

The horn and cruise control doesn't work, fuses are

sounds like a bad clockspring. located in steering column under steering wheel, operates airbag, horn cruise etc, it make wire connection possible so the wheel can spin, its a roll of flat wires, that unroll and roll up as steering wheel is truned from left to right, wires break after a while.

Horn doesn't work where is the location of horn

The horn is actually located in front of the vehicle behind the grill, but what makes it sound is a special part located at the steering wheel behind the air bag assembly called the clockspring assembly and if this part is broken the horn and cruise control will not work, also the airbag light will be on all the time. You will need a puller to pull the steering wheel out but be carefull to disconect the airbag to preventing it from inflating accidentally.I am assuming the corresponding fuse is working.Good luck

My airbag light and horn not working on my crysler voyager 1997

hey guys with problems with the air bag lights on and horn not working in Chrysler Voyager...

this is the problem with the steering wheel clockwork spring. The connector that brings the wires from the steering wheel instruments (hord, airbag, cruise control) and takes it through the steering column to the car body but allows steering wheel to rotate without breaking the wires. The dealer should have adivised you that there is a life long warrantly from manufacturer of this part. There was a recall notice issued by Chrysler in 2003/4 to bring in car for replacement of part if the Airbag light came on. I got mine done last year under the recall.
