Has the upper strut bushing been replaced? Have you checked to see if the wheel is loose? To do so jack up the side you here the noise on and use a tire tool or piece of pipe and jack up the wheel when till it's off the ground about an inch enough to get you bar under the wheel. Next pull up on the wheel with the bar if you feel a clunk then get a second person to pull the lever up and down and see where the looseness is, if there is no looseness when prying up and down then you will have to wiggle the wheel from left to right to see if you can find the noise, a also you will have to pull on the drive axle to see if it's loose once you determine what is loose then you can tell me and I will tell you what has to be replaced.

Hello. I hear a very loud thumping noise from the back of my 2014 Toyota Corolla as I slow down. I have taken it twice to the service station at the dealer and they hear the noise but cannot identify where...

Here are the only reason that can cause a thumping noise
  1. Wheel and Tire Problems
    • Wheels can become bent from striking objects, and tires can develop bulges from broken belts or wear. Both problems may cause a thumping noise. Thumping sounds caused by wheel and tire problems will typically increase in frequency at higher speeds, though the sound may not be heard at lower speeds. These problems can often be spotted by visual inspection.
    Suspension Problems
    • Worn or broken struts or strut mounts can create a thumping noise, especially when the vehicle hits a bump in the roadway. To test struts, bounce the rear of the car by forcefully pushing down on it and letting go. After letting go, the car should settle back to its original position without bouncing or noise.
    Loose Trim
    • Loose trim pieces near or in the wheel well can flutter in the wind while a car is being driven. These trim pieces may create a thumping noise as they strike other objects. A car owner can check trim pieces for looseness to determine if that is the source of the noise.
Hope this helps

Intermittent rear passenger clunking sound

You likely have a broken or missing bushing...

You have to look for loose, polished or even MERELY
WORN supports (iron oxide presents as a light brown powder...

You will only be able to find your issue with the suspension in "NORMAL" operating position...

If you put the vehicle in the air... the weight of the elements will make EVERYTHING "seem" to be nice and tight...

Your "thud" is because something is VERY loose...

and if it DECIDES to drop off at speed... you

(and your WHOLE TACOMA) could be CART-
WHEEL TO A MESSY, UGLY & LIKELY very
tragic sudden stop...

If you cannot IMMEDIATELY spot the trouble...
get it on down to an ACCOMPLISHED suspension
shop...

ALWAYS remember those spring and links
are powerful enough to hold up an entire TACOMA

So expect a sudden release to have EXPLOSIVE FORCE.

(quite dangerous... especially to work on... (opinion)).

Thumping noise in front drivers side wheel and sometimes sound like a clanking noise only going over speed bumps or railroad tracks on 2006 toyota sienna awd

Check your suspension bar and check your front strut assembly, jack up the side you here the noise on and pry against the tire to see if you have any movement between the strut housing and the frame, make sure the top strut nuts are tight, if they are next check tie rod ends to see if you have any play, next pull the wheel from the top and bottom to see if it's loose if it is watch while someone else wiggles the tire, you could have a tie rod loose or a king pin loose. Also it could be a wheel-bearing nut. Let me know what you find so I can tell you how to replace it.

2006 Toyota Sienna noisy ride

Sounds like you have an aerodynamic noise issue.

I assume that your vehicle has a roof rack.
Loosen the front cross bar, and move it backward. See if the noise "moves" backwards. If it does, remove the crossbar, it comes off from the back of the roofrack; turn it around and reinstall it.
