Power Window does not work. stick in open

Replace the master switch assembly.

BCM is bad or has no power.

What's with the 1994 C/K 2500 above an 2007 Silverado ? 07 on 94 frame ? New body have all the 07 electronics ?
Power Window System Controls (RPO A31/AN3/DL3)
The power window system will operate anytime the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The driver master control switches are integrated into the DDS. When a power window switch is activated in the up or down positions the DDS supplies power and ground to the window motor control circuits to drive the window motor in the required direction. Prior to activating a power window motor the DDS will supply the control circuit with a low current bias voltage in order to determine that a short to ground condition does not exist and during window motor operation the DDS continues to monitor the motor current to verify proper window motor operation.
The DDS controls the passenger window through a GMLAN message to the PDS. When a power window switch is activated in the up or down positions the PDS supplies power and ground to the window motor control circuits to drive the window motor in the required direction. Prior to activating a power window motor the PDS will supply the control circuit with a low current bias voltage in order to determine that a short to ground condition does not exist, and during window motor operation the PDS continues to monitor the motor current to verify proper window motor operation. Passenger Power Window Inoperative

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the C1 harness connector at the PDS.
2. Test for less than 1 ohm between the ground circuit terminal 6 and ground.

If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.

3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 2 and ground.

If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.

4. Ignition OFF, reconnect the harness connector at the PDS.
5. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Passenger Window Switch parameters while using the passenger power window switch. The reading should change between Off/Up/Down/Express Down.

If the parameter does not change, replace the PDS.

6. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the passenger window motor.
7. Connect a test lamp between control circuit terminal A and control circuit terminal B.
8. Ignition ON, command the passenger window UP and DOWN by using the passenger window switch. The test lamp should illuminate when commanding the UP and DOWN states.

If the test lamp is always OFF during either of the commands, test for a short to ground or open/high resistance on either control circuit. If the circuits test normal, replace the PDS.

If the test lamp is always ON, test for a short to voltage on either control circuit. If the circuits test normal, replace the DDS.


9. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the passenger window motor.

Bad switch.

With key on door open, hold switch in down position and rap door panel with rubber mallet...if it works, need motor, if not, check switch for power out to motor

Check for broken wires inside the rubber boot from the body to the driver door . Happens all; the time ,wires breaking . Also you should have check for B+ voltage at the master switch before replacing .

remove your door panel, disconnect the motor plug, grab your car battery with 2 cables one in each terminal and connect them on the motor plug, one cable in each pin, be careful that the cables don´t touch each other. The polarity doesn't matter, cause if you change them they are going up or they will go down ok. If the window it's up and it doesn't move change the polarity and it should go down. If it works then it could be the switch or something electrical from the plug to the switch. If it does nothing then it´s probably that the window motor doesn't work anymore and you should cange the whole mecanism.

It may be a bad Power Window Switch, if the Power Window Motor goes up and down when you ran power leads to it but doesn't work with the switch, than the switch is bad. Replace the power window switch and it should work fine.

i have an 03 g35 coupe and my driver's window just doesnt go back up! i tried looking for a fuse for the power window but couldnt find it and my passenger window works just fine! what possibly solutions do i have?
