You can replace the whole assembly. It could be catered from junk yard, new Toyota parts store or car radio shops. After market antennas are also available which could be put to work after a little effort.

You can call the dealer, or go to a junk yard and see if they have a 96 camry that you can get the antenna from. Good-Day! or maybe the auto parts store can order one for you!

SOURCE: Broken spring on the gas fuel tank door on Toyota ''Camry'' 1998

Go to your nearest Toyota dealer. Purchase this part number: 77360-22020; approx 4 dollars.

Open the fuel door. Being careful, remove the leftover plastic that is hooked by the door hinge. Insert the new spring assembly under the slot, and press it in until it clicks into place. Very easy to do.
Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.

SOURCE: need to replace the thermostat in a 1994 Toyota Camry

1. Look up along the lower radiator hose. It will plug into a metal tube on the engine side. Follow the metal tube. It goes to a housing. The housing is kind of buried in the driver's side of the engine. There are 2 smaller coolant tubes plugged in above it. You do not need to touch those, although it looks at first glance like you do.
2. Disconnect lower radiator hose at the metal tube.
3. Disconnect fan switches 1 and 2. These are on elecrtical harnesses going to this housing.
4. Disconnect a sensor on the front of the engine, just above the lower hose. I believe this is the knock sensor, but I'm not sure.
5. Now for the fun part. There are 3 bolts holding this housing on. You can see one at the top. There are 2 others underneath it, such that the bolts form a triangle pattern. You will have to get the bottom 2 out by feel (blind). They are 10mm.
6. Also, if you look to the front of the housing, you will note another 10mm bolt on the front holding down a black plastic leg. This is a wiring harness duct. Remove that bolt. Trace back along the duct. There is one more bolt on the driver's side retaining the duct. There is also one on the back of the engine at the firewall / driver's side. Remove these 2 as well.
7. There is a 12mm bolt holding the metal tube from that housing to the driver's side. Remove that bolt.
8. Gently pry the plastic wiring duct toward driver's side, and back toward firewall. You have just enough to get it off of the stud on the thermostat housing.
9. Now you can pull the housing. It will not come all the way out. It will come loose enough to give you just enough clearance to remove the thermostat (barely). Once you remove the thermostat, you have to pass it downward and toward the firewall to fumble it out.
By the way, you will notice that the metal tube is kind of wiggly in the thermostat housiung. This is normal.
10. Pass the new thermostat in the same way you got the old one out. Make sure when you plug it in that it has an air bleed poppet, and that this poppet is facing up.
11. Reassemble by reversing removal. Getting the nuts / bolts back in blind is... fun...
I don't know the torque spec. You can get a torqure wrench in there barely if you get creative with extensions, knuckles, etc. I wouldn't go abouve 8-10 ft-lb.

SOURCE: drivers door on my 1996 toyota camry won't open.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

SOURCE: how to replace EGR valve in 1996 toyota camry

It is simple. It looks like a little flying saucer or pancake and it is in the rear of the engine on top near windshield. There are two hoses that plug into it from the exhaust, and one coming out, and one on bottom (total of 4). You can just unplug the hoses and replace them easily.

My Saturn factory AM/FM radio on my 1996 SL gets some FM reception but no AM reception. I am trying to determine whether I need to repair the antenna or the radio.

You will need to pull the radio out of the dash and make sure the antenna is still pluged into the unit. If the antenna is in the windshield make sure the glass is not broken, and the wire broken. If there is an external antenn, you need to check the connection at the bottom of the antenna, and the wire is good between the antenna and the radio. Has any new items been mounted recently, the screws could have damaged the coax.

There is reception, then none, then reception. When there is none, I can tap the front and frequently reception returns.

you might want to remove the radio and clean the antenna plug in.or check the ground wire on the radio.

How to replace arial in 95 camry

This is normally due to a broken antenna mast inside the motor, the mast /cable assembly should be replaced, the antenna motor has to be removed from the car and disassembled to remove the broken piece of the old cable, once that is accomplished the antenna motor is reinstalled and the new cable assembly is fed into the motor by turning the radio on until the motor stops and then turning the radio off while feeding the new mast in.

I can hear the sound of the motor but the retractable antenna of the car radio do not work.

Try removing the motor and replacing. But before that try to see if it will come apart and check to see if parts inside are loose or striped.
