2010 Nissan Altima clicking sound front driver's side while driving

Hey guys I have an issue I just recently started to take into notice. I have a 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL and with the 17" factory allow wheels and the tire sizes are 205/55/17 I recently hit a sinkhole (huge pothole) on the highway and there wasn't much room to dodge. I was going about 65 mph and the driver's side rim got a small tiny dent in the back (not sure if it is big enough to cause air to leak out) and also there was a screw stuck in the middle of the tire so I think both could cause the tire to go flat. I changed the tire into a spare and the spare is a stock steelie spare but it is 235/50/16 so it is 1 inch smaller than the other three tires. After that incident and the tire change I noticed a clicking sound like what the old school bicycle beads make when the wheel turns. The noise is constant while in motion and it can get louder or faster the more speed the tire turns at. I was thinking it is because the driver's side doughnut is smaller than the other three tires but my worst fear is either a cv joint/ball joint or a damaged axle including the struts and shocks. The car isn't bouncy either and during cornering it still does a really good job. The issue I think was there when the regular tire was on it but only at very low speeds but as you sped up it disappeared. So I am not sure what could be the issue.

Since the sound gets louder the faster you go, it sounds like you have a bad wheel bearing. You could try putting the spare on the back and see if it helps. If you can get the front of your car off the ground, spin your wheel with one hand and with the other hand, grab ahold of your coil spring on your strut. If you feel a vibration on the coil, than more than likely you have a bad wheel bearing.

SOURCE: very dull steering feel, wheel stays turned even as i slowly rev

Camber and caster settings are off. Have 4 wheel alignment done by a good shop and save your nice tires. Out of alignment will make steering feel heavy and wear tires fast!

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Altima S loud thumping sound (inside car) or sqeaking/ squealing sound (outside car) on Driver's side front tire area when coasting, turning, and accelerating above 50 MPH, steering is

most def you need an alignment and you also need to check inner outer tie rod end and check the tires belt as well

Testimonial: "the tie-rod looks ok along with the alignment and the tire tread and tire belt."

front wheel drives have a balance weight on the long shaft. have it check to make sure it is not out of line or weight i.e been damaged. this can weaking ball joints and cv joints if not fixed.

2004 Nissan Altima. Transmission slips between 2nd and 3rd. It is most noticeable when slowing from mid range RPMs and then accelerating again. The Tranny Guy wants to replace the valve body. He says there...

You can clean the valve body, but I would
guess since your driving a slipping trans, you ruined it

It will most likely need to be rebuilt

You do not drive any farther than home or a trans
shop, once you notice any trans issue, you stop using it
immediately

No need to replace the valve body
That is silly
You remove & clean it

Hey, I own a 2010 Chevy Camaro. Every since I bought the car I've noticed an annoying popping everytime I go over a bump. The sound comes from the front suspension, over the drivers side. The right side...

i have the same problem it will only do it when the weight of the front end is unloaded. Go back to the dealer, take the guy on a drive to the exact same spot on the road where your car is making the noise. Even if it's thirty miles.
They never fixed mine, now it's a problem. I know it's a faulty strut or something loose in the joint.

Low growling noise in front end

typically, this sounds like a wheel bearing. To test, the noise can often be altered by accellerating /decelerating, and more evident by turning the vehicle.

The truning process is to put load on one side, then the other. if the right side has a damaged bearing, for example, the noise would be noticibly altered (less in this case) when turning to the right. Load would be slightly less. Testing speed in the area of 25 to 35 mph.
