Possible bad master cylinder or air trapped in the system. Take it to a brake shop and have a power bleeding done on the system. Other possible causes could be low brake pads that have little sensors built into them that have to be replaced at same time as the pads.

SOURCE: the brake pad warning light

Nothing special just be carefull of the clip at the pad to chassis harness , they can be a bugger to get apart sometimes . Have a good look at the new one before you attempt to take apart the one one the car.

Will bad brake sensors make mer benz lock in park

Not brake sensor but brake switch can cause that, its located behind the brake booster in the engine compartment, make when you apply brake your lights comes on, if they don't come on then you have a bad switch or a blown brake fuse and this will cause the gear lever locked in park

Have an audi a4 quattro 2005 convertible problem is 3rd brake light will stop working and than work again. i also get dash warning when it goes out. will replacing brake switch fix this. also 2nd issue...

The brake light issue isn't likely the the brake switch (since it sounds like your other brake lights are working properly). It's likely a bulb in the third brake light. When the filaments get old they sometimes lose and regain contact as the car vibrates on the road. Change the bilbs and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, look for a bad wire connection around the third brake light. Also, have someone verify the third brake light isn't working from the back of the car when you see the alert, it could be a bad sensor.

2003 mercury mountaineer brakes locking up abs light is on

Possibly has a bad wheel speed sensor or has a problem with the ABS control module and/or pump. Need to have the ABS codes pulled by a service center. Also, some auto parts stores can pull codes and may be able to pull ABS codes.

1994 Honda Passport,anti-lock and brake lights come on after about 5-10 seconds, brakes work great,Ive checked most connections,if you pull the park brake with engine running the brake light in the dash...

It may be that the brake system is contaminated with moisture, rust, or both. Bleed out or purge out all old brake fluid as a precaution, use a hand pump vacuum unit if possible to purge old fluid if not available thoroughly bleed out the system. The other possibility is that one of the reluctor sensors located behind the rotor's splash guard may loaded with dirt or just be faultly, purchase an ABS reluctor pick up sensor for the wheel that you think might be the culprit and change it out.

I have a 1998 town and country with traction control and the brakes drag after a few miles most notably the left front(smoke and melt caliper). I have replaced the calipers and rotors twice but this still...

I had a similar problem with my anti-lock brake.
One of the will wear down. I took it to the dealer, could not tell why.
Until one day the a brake light came on. It was a bad sensor. Replace the bad sensor and the problem went away.
The mechanic plug a portable instrument and drive the car around until he find out. (The brake light came on, then off.)
This anti-lock brake system is control by sensors and it one is not functioning properly then you have a problem.
I do hope this help you.
