Hello I own a 2003 Mercedes Benz c230, i recently got all 5 windows tinted the remote worked perfect the day the tint was done. The following day it worked that morning, that same day I replaced the battery of the car and the key-less entry stopped working, my radio is fine, the car starts up perfect but I cannot unlock, lock the doors or open my trunk using my remote. Theories?

You may have lost programming in the remote.
Here are the instruction to program it
1. Confirm that all doors are closed and the ignition key is NOT in the ignition cylinder.
2. Open the driver's door and within 10 seconds insert the key in the ignition.
3. Now, within 10 seconds remove the key from the ignition.
4. Within the next 20 seconds, push and release the driver's door switch 3 times. This is the switch near the door strike plate which turns on the inside light and indicates that the door is open.
5. Within 10 seconds, insert the key in the ignition.
6. Now, within 10 seconds remove the key from the ignition.
7. Within the next 20 seconds, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter. Hold both for at least 5 seconds. All the doors will lock or unlock to confirm that procedure was done properly.
8. Within the next 5 seconds after step 7 was complete, press either the LOCK or UNLOCK button to confirm that this process has been properly done. Now, the transmitter has been programmed.
9. Repeat steps 1 to 8 for additional transmitters.
10. Operate each transmitter to verify the programming.
!st by changing your remote batteries you need to resynchronize your key. I believe you place it in the ignition turn and then remove and press your unlock button. The procedure will be in you manual. It almost sounds to me that the linkage is out on your trans and the car is not all the way in park. Look under neath and see if your shift rod is dangling from your trans. Next if it is not try starting the car in neutral. A common failure for that era is the shift box which allows the vehicle to start. Another problem could be is that your parked on a hill and steering son't come unlocked if this is the case crank on your wheel hard to allow key to turn. If all else fails call M.B. roadside it should be free

SOURCE: 2001 Cadillac Deville driver door key entry not turning to unlock
I am having the smae problem starting this week. Key fob has been broken for several months (and on a 2001 Cadillac you HAVE to go to dealer to program a new one.) So I've been using the key-- no problem.
FIrst thing others need to understand. The 2001 Deville has a key entry on the Driver's door ONLY-- not any other door. So you can't just go to anotger door.
Secondly-- I am trying my 'main' key, which admittedly has some wear. But I am also trying my "spare" key which has practically no wear at all-- so this is not an issue of a worn-out key. Both have worked fine in the past.
What happens is that the door lock all of a sudden will not let the key go all the way into the lock. YOu can feel it being stopped for the last 1/8 of an inch or so-- just enough so you can't turn the key in the door lock. Seems like some kind of messed up security feature. But all I know is I cannot get into my car, parked in my garage!
