Wish to replace a rear view mirror on the passenger side of a 1992 honda accord wagon.

Behind the mirror on the inside of the door there will be a triangular shape piece of plastic, gently pry the plastic from the door, now that it is removed you will see a multi electrical plug for the mirror if you have electric mirrors, seperate the plug.
look in the small holes in the door where the plastic cover was removed and you should see 2 or 3 bolt heads, remove those bolts and the mirror should now be free to remove from the vehicle

How to replace Inside Rear View Mirror on 2000

Hello, to replace the rear mirror, try the following:

1. Roll the passenger side door window all the way down. Turn off the ignition and remove the keys.

2. Gently pry the window control panel from the arm rest with the pry tool or screwdriver starting at the bottom of the panel. Flip it over and unplug all the wire harness outlets from it. Set the panel aside.

3. Locate and remove the two panel door plugs near the arm rest concealing the two screws and remove the screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.

4. Remove the door panel retainer plugs along the edge of the door by pressing in the middle of the plug to unlock it and removing the plug.

5. Detach the mounting triangle from the upper inside door panel covering the side-view mirror.

6. Remove the door panel by lifting outward and then upward. Disconnect the speaker wire harness from the underside of the door panel and set the door panel aside.

7. Locate and disconnect the mirror wire harness.

8. Pull back the foam insulation from the inside panel covering the side-view mirror.

9. Unscrew the three mounting nuts from the mirror using the ratchet, extension and a socket. Do not drop the nuts into the door cavity.

10. Pry the mirror gently away from the outside of the door.

11. Install the new mirror and replace the mounting nuts on the mirror studs and tighten with the ratchet, socket, and extension. Plug the mirror wire harness back in. Replace the foam insulation. Replace the mounting triangle.

How to replace rearview mirrors on yukon 1996

The replacement of outside rearview mirrors is straight-forward and can be done in an hour or so. If you need new power mirrors, first shop with local body parts suppliers in your area. The after-market mirrors are nearly identical and can be purchased for about $20-$30 per side. Remove the plastic triangular cover over the inside of the mirror by lifting up at base and then release clip at the top which is an upward motion off of a slot in the rear of the triangle. Then pull out the foam insulation carefully. The 3 nuts are 10mm and a long scket works best. For the one at the very front, you will have to use an open end wrench to loosen the nut. There is not much room for a socket. Be carefull to not drop the nuts down the inside of the door, because you don't want to remove the door panel and then the inner metal panel to get them out. If you lose them, buy new ones or replace with proper treaded ones in your garage. After the three nuts are off you need to disconect the wiring. Stop here and make sure you have enough slack in the wiring to be able to hold the female end securely, while you refit your new mirror. I took a piece of wire an dwrapped it around the female end to keep it within reach to re-attach the wiring after the nuts are tightened. Then just replace your foam insulation, and install the triangular cover and you're all set.
