Wow, no year stated,
the cam has a front drive, bolt torque and cam bearing cap torque.
The 6VE1W 3.5L DOHC 24V V6 was introduced in 1998 with 215 hp (160 kW) and used until 2004 with the termination of the Isuzu Axiom. Gasoline direct injection was added for 2004 only and boasted output to 230 hp (172 kW). This was a stroked version of the 6VD1.

ill answer for 1998, rodeo 3.5L
alldata.com , try reading all the steps, not just torque . RTV steps
and sequence, of cap torque.

answer for caps

  1. Apply RTV gasket material to the mating surfaces of the cam bracket and head. Do not allow the gasket material to protrude.
  2. Install the caps and bolts. Torque the bolts, in sequence order, to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

SENSORS (plural)

here?

if scans say it's ok, then it's ok (if dead start?, crank for 5 full seconds, see DTC now? )
no symptoms stated,why?

lean that scan tools show history of DTC errors(if lucky)
and live errors
the live errors are what makes savvy diagnosis win.
use the scan tool and learn to use it,its not hard.
