Just pull the nobs off and you will find screws behind them, also screws behind the left and right air directors which you gently prise out to get at. Remove the bottom switch panel and find two more screws in a hole at each bottom corner. Then the whole central panel is free.

You may have a vacuum leak which prevents the sensor plate in the fuel distributor from rising which in turn allows fuel to enter the injectors.
