You mean it cranks fine but wont fire? When you installed the distributor did you set it in exactly where it came out? like where the rotor was pointing and or was it on top dead center pointing at number one on the distributor?

SOURCE: 98 chevy cavalier cranks but wont start changed

try to start the car, than the anti theift would shut the car off. you wait ten min with the key on, until you see the anti theift flash or disapear. than turn key to off position and try to start it. this will reprogram the computer.. Good luck.

you can also try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes

I HAVE A 2000 CHEVY S10 4.3 ENGINE coil sparks but no spark from distributor. can the cam sensor cause this problem?

If you take coil wire loose from distributor cap and hold close to engine ground, engine cranking, does a spark jump? If it does, make sure rotor turns when you crank it. The pink wire at the coil goes hot with key on, that is primary voltage, use a test light, is it hot? That voltage comes from ecm fuse1--15 amp, check voltage with key on.
If sensor issue, my first thought would be the crank sensor. Just my opinion.

My chevy S10 blazer won't start, all it does is turn over no fire

Crank sensor, ignition module, coil, pick up coil, wiring, rotor, points, distributor, or distributor cap. This pretty much covers from the 70's to today.

Where is the crank sensor located in an 89 Dodge Daytona

The info I looked at was for 2.5L engine, non-turbo.
If you have distributor, you don't have one. You may have a sensor inside distributor. Because the distributor usually works off the cam shaft, they don't call it a crank sensor.
Now, if you have a coil pack, you do have a crank sensor, some I've seen are on the tranny bell-housing. Or at the cranks shaft pulley in the front.
I did look at online partsbook for the engine I listed, no crank sensor listed.

Truck wont crank. we have put new distributor cap, rotor button, coil pack, plugs, wires, and fuel pump. we also checked our firing order.

you said you repl dist cap that means you don't have a crank sensor you have electronic ing module. remove your elec ing module have it tested most auto parts stores could test your module, or check your coil at the neg terminal. should have power. if not you lost your primary volt from your batt.your secondary power is coming from your electronic ing module from the module to the pos terminal on the coil, when the eng cranks, from the coil to the dist cap , from the dist cap center to the rotor then out to the plugs, this all happen pervided the timing belt or timing chain is ok. the cumbustion chainber needs 3 things , thats fuel, air, and spark.

I have a 1992 chevy S10 with a 4.3L it cranks

I'm assuming that you verified that the distributor is rotating. Verify that you have good secondary wires. verify that your pimary circuit is good.
