My AM/FM Radio in my 2006 Ford Crown Vic does not receive a signal. I have power, but no signal, I've been told the wire has likely come loose in the trunk area. Where would the wire for the antenna be located?

Your antenna is built into the rear window. You should be able to see the connection in the upper part of the trunk under the back window. If it isn't loose there, I suspect your antenna wire has come loose from the rear of your radio, or else the antenna wire is damaged somewhere in between the radio and the rear window. You'll have to pull it out and inspect it.

Assuming they were referring to the power antenna (if your car is so equipt), it would be inside the trunck liner along the side where the antenna is. You will see the post of the antenna, the motor and the wiring from the motor.

1985 ford crown vic ltd 352 200k miles been running good burns NO oil.\r\ndriving at night engine shuts down. I turn lights off, wiggle turn signal switch and it starts again. Once I was making a right...

I dont see if the turn signal light has to do any thing with the engine shutting off, make sure the IAC idle air control valve is working, air filter is good, fuel filter is good and IF your vehicle has a power steering pressure switch then that could be causing it but with 1985 Crown Vic I dout it.

Need to find switch power wire 2006 explorer for fm modulator

Have you tried looking for an empty cavity in the fuse panel? Usually there will be one or more in there, just stick probe in there, and if no power, try turning key on, and if it lights up (test light) or shows power , use it. make sure you fuse wire though.

1997 Crown Vic blows radio fuses

The quickest way to find a short circuit is by putting a bulb in place of the fuse. Anytime the time the bulb lights there is a load. And if the load is a shorted wire the brightness of the bulb will give you a hint. So while you're at it, finding a 'short' is a quicky...keep your eyes on the bulb. gotcha!

1997 Crown Vic blows radio fuses

Try checking all the grounds for the radio, over time they can weeken. If that doesn't work, put in a new ground wire with a heavier gauge, that should fix it. It sounds like a ground problem.

Good luck, Daniel
