Need to trouble shoot and repair wiper moter on my olds intrigue
If you are positive that your problem is ONLY the motor, these directions won't help.
However, if your windshield wipers do work, but when you turn them "off" they won't return to their resting place (which is at the bottom of your windshield, next to the hood) - instead they just stop straight up on your windshield, here's how to fix that using only a couple of screwdrivers.
What has caused that? You were probably your using the wipers to remove snow or snow and ice from your windshield instead of using your window scraper! Unfortunately the wiper bracket (it's the piece having a tab that has been bent) on many Oldsmobiles isn't strong enough to remove even light snow and/or ice.
Your windshield wiper motor has a mounted bracket over it that has a little metal tab (a "Park Tab") on it that the crank arm assembly has to "hit" in order to "park" the wipers in the correct position. The Park Tab is not covered up - it's part of the mounted bracket - out in the open, and you can see it.
In a many cases this "park tab" is either bent or broken, and if it's bent can be adjusted using a screwdriver back to its original position. It it has broken off, the part that holds that tab will need to be replaced. (I had a bent tab twice and two repair shops said I needed an entirely new motor, when I didn't.)
Go to this link: http://redhouseon7th.com/redhouse/howto/2009OldsmobileWiperRepair/index.html then follow its directions - they are excellent and simple. The link has pictures to show you exactly what to do, step-by-step showing pictures of what it looks like at each step. The only tools you will need are a couple of screwdrivers, and you don't need to replace the motor IF your windshield wipers are "stopping" in or near the "12 o'clock" position. And the "fix" costs are zero. (The repair shop charged me $850.00 the first time I had the problem.)
It's a problem with many Oldsmobiles - the bracket with the "park tab" should have been made stronger in the first place. After my first repair cost, I looked up directions and fixed it the next time. I live in Iowa, and I now always use my snow/ice scraper every time instead of my windshield wipers, and have had no more problems. I love my Intrigue!
Hope your problem is solved! Best wishes!

SOURCE: wiper arms dont move
there are little teeth on the connection if they are worn then you need to find out hoe to replce them
SOURCE: Wipers stop after 5 minutes of slow or intermiant speed use.
Try replacing the Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module. It is available at aftermarket parts stores, it is easy to replace, and it is a high failure item. Eventually, the module will fail completely and leave you with no wipers.

Did you refill the reservoir with windshield washer fluid? When you activate the washer can you hear a hum from under the hood? In bad weather you will likely go through a gallon of fluid rather quickly, and since it is difficult to see the level in most tanks it is easiest just to keep it topped off. If the fluid is full and you can hear a hum, the line may be restricted. When you activate the washer do you see fluid coming out under the car? This could indicate a hose has been disconnected. As a last resort - the pump may have gone bad, but that is not common.

My best solution, which you may not want to hear is new wiper motors. It seems like a common thing in these cars (the wipes don't go down all the way.
