97 gmc jimmy,need help locating the headlight relay under the hood? Fuses good, everything except headlights?

Excluding drl and fog lamps, there is no relay. The voltage to headlamp switch, hot all the time, I didn't check for fusible links? The voltage from headlamp switch goes to dimmer switch then to headlamps, at the headlamps check voltage and ground. My info showed sealed beam or quad lamps, I didn't look at both.

You mean drums? Depends on the vehicle options but should be rotors/pads. Easy to check - look through the wheel spokes and if pads, you should see the rotor.

No relay that I know of.
The power comes from the headlight switch into the dimmer switch.

Where is the light relay on 97 jimmy

There is a headlight relay on 1998 models, but not 1997.
And if you have daytime running lights there is a relay for that.
But none of that would affect the dash lights.
So my vote is for the problem being in the actual headlight switch, or a wiring connection. The headlights, parking lights, and dash lights are all on different circuits and fuses. But they all go thru the switch.

I have a new headlight relay for my 1997 volvo 960 and I have located the relay panel, however, there is no relay to be replaced. Where is the headlight relay supposed to be located?

The headlamp relay is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. If it is the original relay, it will say "headlamp relay" on the side of it.

I believe it's the middle relay in the glove box. You should feel the relay click on when you turn the key's, but you only have 2 seconds.

1997 aurora headlights stay on

The door chime is a victim; it is just telling you the lights are still on.
The relay responsible for the headlights probably has welded contacts and will need replacement. If you know where the fuse box is located, you can temporarily disable the headlights by pulling the fuse and the relay (which should be identified) is probably also in the box.
