I have been trying for two days to install a Kenwood KDC 355U to my 2000 Lexus GS 300. I took the wiring harness to a custom stereo shop and had them to connect the harnesses. Once i connected the harness to the car and stereo it did not work. talked with tech and he said that the red wire sometimes will not put out power, and i should run the wire to another power source. I then connected the red wire from the stereo to the cigarette lighter that had 12V. once i turned the Ignition my stereo flashed (PROTECT). How can i get this issue resolved?
That red wire is not intended as a power source, you have shorted the unit to ground. Most likely the wire you connected to the lighter is a power out of the head unit not an power in. Check that with a meter or test light. The radio wiring colors for your car are below.

If it is not a factory stereo, it would be the blue wire, you can also
connect amp wire straight up to red which is also the ign. wire for the
radio. That way the amp will turn on with key also.
If you have a factory stereo, you can go to www.installer.com and get a free complete wiring diagram

SOURCE: Replacement brake pads for 06 Lexus GS 300?
go with standard pads.they wear a little faster than ceramics.but they dont wear down brake rotors.ceramics pads are hard and they cause brakes to squeak.also your car is under warranty with lexus dealership.i would use what they said. because you have future brake problem. they will void out warranty for not using their brakes.
