Trans is internally worn and only sealing properly when parts are hot. I would change fluid and filter just to be sure pressure loss is not from filter but if it does not improve, start saving up for a rebuild.

Dodge grand Caravan 1995 has been acting up with erratic heating since last month.

Could possibly need a new thermostat, the thermostat opens and closes depending on the heat of the coolant. maybe also check your heating core. as well as the quality of you coolant.

My caravan fails to find reverse unless it it warm

get the electronics checked and get the transmission a full diagnosis. it could be mechanical failure because when metal heats, it expands and it could be that some solenoids arent working properly until theyve expanded

WITH ENGINE FULLY WARM, FELL BOTH HEATER HOSES THEY SHOULD BOTH BE HOT. IF ONE IS HOT AND THE OTHER IS COLD HEATER CORE IS LIKELY PLUGGED. IF BOTH ARE HOT THEN YOU HAVE A BLEND DOOR PROBLEM UNDER THE DASH.

What would cause it to not go into reverse ,took awhile . fluid level is ok. tranny going out? shifts fine other than that

could need fresh fluid and a filter, when fluid gets old and used it gets thicker and dirty and takes longer for it the fluid to warm up and get pumped to the clutches, reverse takes a lot of fluid

You could also have a thermostat that is stuck open which doesn't allow the coolant to warm up unless the engine is running high rpms. That might be your issue.

When cold car will start and idle rough and sputter takes a while to run normal will do it when warm also check eng lite came on and went off code 41 stored 95 dodge grand caravan 3.3

have the fuel pressure checked when starting cold, also have them do a fuel pressure leak down test, this test requires a special test gauge, if you are going to do the test buy the gauge, about $40
