When hot get a dry pump sound from transmission, changed fluid & filter, goes away as soon as you step on pedal

10 -15 fp. If you put a gm filter on this it will have made in gasket bolt spacers to keep you from over-tightening bolts
SOURCE: I need instructions on how to change the transmission fluid
for starters, if trans has not been regularly serviced , many problems will occur if vehicle has lots of miles on it and a service job is done. the new fluid has new detergents and better viscosity and causes metal / clutch particles to break free inside trans and stop filter up or stick valves in valve body. ( judgment call on owners part) , if lots miles and never serviced i would leave alone and just keep fluid topped off .
to service the transmission, first go to parts house and tell them the yr,model, make of vehicle. put vehicle on lift or jacks and there will be a large flat pan on the trans., pull all the ten mm bolts out , one left last to slowly let pan finish draining slowwly. make sure the vehicle hasnt been started or driven for a very short time as the fluid would then be hot and burn you. once the pan is off the trans. , there will be a large filter , it has a large rubber/steel groumet/seal that it pushes into. A flat head screwdriver can be put next to the neck of the filter and use the transmission case as a pry point to make the filter pop out of the filter seal. once this is done , the old seal for the filter needs to be removed. use the flat head screwdriver again and it will pop out of the hole its it, just dont get to ruff with it. put the tip into the seal neck and use the shaft of the screwdriver as leverage against the hole the fitler pushes into. next put a little lube of any kind on new seal on filter and with seal on filter push the filter into the hole until seated fully. next clean pan/and magnet inside pan thouroughly , wipe off the pan rail of trans case very well , leaving oil there will let pan gasket tear easy. causing leak. let oil drip awile before trying to put pan gasket and pan back on . i use break cleaner at auto parts alot to do all the cleaning. make shure bolt holes on pan are not domed from pan bolts over tightened previously. a ball pean hammers smaller end can be put ontop of bolt hole using another hammer to flatten raised bolt hole so that pan rail where gasket fits is flat. put 10mm bolt back using torque wrench at 110-140 inch pounds or till tight with ratchet and socket. dont overtighten , watch gasket between pan and trans case as you tighten bolts. if over tightening bolts, the gasket will squish out and cause a leak. let car down and put 4 quarts fluid it (dexron 3 fluid is ok) . after the 4 , start engine and with foot on brake , shift rev. to fwd a couple times and reckeck fluid till full.
SOURCE: Hello there There is a chattering
The chattering sounds like some thing loose, like a mounting bracket. or the shafts end play is excessive, there can be bearing failure at high mileage in the supercharger, The bearings are lubed by the engine oil while running check for oil leaks in the line to the supercharger.
