Check fuel pressure. Parts stores rent a fuel pressure gauge. If fuel pressure is low, check fuel pump and filter.

SOURCE: stalling

Good Day,

There could be several causes for this. If I were you the first thing I would check is the timing. If the timing is off enough it could cause this. After timing is checked and/or adjusted the next thing I would check the MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor. I can't remeber if a 91 is fuel injected or carburated, but if it is carburated I would check the carb jets and up the idle adjustment just to see how it would run. Do you have a check engine light on in the car? If you do it's more than likely a sensor either the MAP or TPS(throttle position sensor). If you do not have a check engine light on it's got be timing or something else mechanically.

Here's a place to start.
Let me know about the check engine light and I can assist further.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: the engine stall when I accelerate

check the fuel pressure comming in to the injector rail. it should be more than 20psi if not replace the fuel filter/
if that doesnt work replace the fuel pump.

if there is look at your mas air flow sensor located in the breather\
not sure where it is on this model

SOURCE: When i accelerate at a higher rate, the vehicle

Is it time for a tune up maybe? Spark plugs, wires, fuel fiter. It's sounds to me like starving for fuel, plugged fuel filter.

2009 Hyunda Santa Fe stalls while driving

I had a similar problem with my Santa Fe. It occurred intermittently but after I turned the steering wheel to the left. After much screwing around by the dealer and trying to baffle me with BS we heard about a strange solution. I am not a mechanic but the problem somehow related to a spring in the Airbag on the steering wheel. Changed the spring and "Stone the flame'n crows" problem solved. Never had a problem since.

The 1995 Grand Am was GM's worst nightmare. At 120,000 the transmission is going to just blatantly fail on you w/out notice. Problems with this make and model is if it was created between 1995-96 the transmission problems are goin to start. Even if you swap the crankshaft sensor, ignition module, and coils. I had one go at the mileage i just submitted. The computer also has malfunctions. It is indeed time to rid your vehicle, Sorry. Thnx 4 using fixya.com :-)
