SOURCE: lost keys require new locks for BMW X3

replacing the complete lock set with the EWS control unit can be expensive as the control unit will also need to be programed and/or encoded, however if the lost keys cannot be found and you are sure they cannot be used to steel you car you can just order replacement keys from your local bmw dealer. hope this is of some help. You will also nead to disable the lost keys if you order replacements rather than a complete set.

SOURCE: Told 2002 BMW 325i Evaporator Leaking

1- If they find the leak in compressor, then only compressor needs to be changedwhy others have to be changed unless they see the leak at each port of others. I don't beleive they can see the leak at evaporator since they didn't touch your dash board, Only if they guarantee to make it work with 770 on all others, it is a very good price it the dash board labor is price included, You can ask to clear it up. If total price is lower than #2 then go for it.

2- The 1600 price is the same as few years back. I like this place because because they tell you up front having to pull out the dash board, to get to the evaporator. You have to see how hard to get the evaporator out to work. Because refrigerant and labor are expensive in troubleshooting, they want to repacle all for sure. Good luck on making a good deal.

Check your freon level. Take it to a mechanic, do not attempt on your own.

SOURCE: 2003 bmw x5 ac compressor not coming on - need to add freon . how do i start compressor

on the evaporator (silver canister looking thing) is a 2 wire plug (pressure switch) pull these and put a jumper wire between them and the compressor will start, if it doesnt there is another problem, be careful not to run compressor very long like this without adequate freon/oil as it can destroy the compressor

My AC stopped working. I can see that the compressor clutch is not engaging. My Freon pressure was very low so I added to the proper level. But still doesn't work.

I need year--make--model?
You removed the fuse and used paper clip in the fuse socket? I'm just trying to understand what you did with paper clip?

Ac condenser stopped working what are possible solutions

I am going to assume you meant AC Compressor as the condenser is basically like a radiator in that it cools the freon.

I would say that your freon is probably too low to kick the compressor on. This could be simple as adding some freon (With Leak stop(just to be sure)) would get it working again. The question is, why did it get low? Could be just age and it needs a little freon but usually means that there is a leak somewhere (Hopefully it is not the condenser leaking). Some leaks are small enough that you just need to add freon every month or so but they eventually get bigger. Look for oil around the AC connections and hoses. Could be an O-ring that has gone bad. Hopefully it is simply low on freon.

Bmw x3 fuse diagram

Did you use the proper gauges to measure the high side and low side pressures as you added the 134 (I assume not Freon)? If not, it's possible you put too much 134 on the high side and either you kicked a breaker for the pressure or you just burned up the compressor.

2001 hyundai santa fe air conditioner not blowing cold Have added a/c stop leak, added freon, added antifreeze.

The problem with what you have done is to introduce faults into the ac system. The ac may have stopped working from over or under pressure in the system in which case the ac compressor would stop working. There is a very fine tube in the evaporator that is easily blocked and will not allow the gas to pass from liquid to gas and so cool the car. I suppose you checked for power to the compressor clutch before you touched anything as it may be a faulty ac switch or fuse.. If you put antifreeze in the ac system then you are up for a complete system as the glycol will destroy all the internals

Ac compressor not working while ac switch on of skoda luara

There could be a few reasons why the ac is not working, if you power the compressor it turns on, that means the compressor clutch is working.
The system may be low on freon gas, the next step would be to have a shop hook up to ac system and check gas level. it may be as simple as the system being low. if it is low there may be a leak so have them add dye to the system if it is low.

the system is under pressure caution if you are not ac certified i would not mess with it. adding gas when not needed will cause compressor failure and may even blow hoses, be careful.

I would say the next step would be to check your fuses and then have the freon amount checked, good day

A/C

Sounds like the compressor has gone out of your AC system. They are not too terrible to change, but can be time consuming depending on location. IF the freon is good, check the compressor and you should here it at idle speed w/ hood open clicking on and off as the clutch engages and disengages when the AC is operated. If there is no clicking on and off by the compressor, new compressor will be required. IF it gets cold when first adding freon, and then fades quickly, it is likely a leak in one of the high or low sides of the lines between the coil and the compressor.

Hope this helps!

My 1996 ford probe gt compressor is not clicking

The compressor will come on however with no freon it will burn up the compressor. Adding freon to any compressor just compounds the problem, unless there is a leak in the system.
/suggest you take it to an ac shop, cost about $65 to diagnosis the problem.

My ac does not blow cold in my 97 cadillac deville but it does blow just not cold and its n ot the fuse what can i do?

You probably have leaked out your freon after so much time. Try adding some more Freon if it doesnt stay charged you may have bigger issues.
