If this is code 16988/P0604, it refers to Internal Contr.Module Random Access Memory (RAM) Error. This seems to relate to the ECU and may reset if the car is left without power for a while (disconnect the battery). Or it was triggered after the ECU lost power.
If it doesn't disappear, the fault codes should be reset with a VAG-COM tester. If it persists, it needs further diagnostics at the dealer.
Hi Guntis
This fault will normally come up on Audi that have battery management,You have not said what age or model Audi you have,But if you have an Audi with battery management,Your battery most likely needs replacing,Battery management is designed to shut various items down when battery is not up to full spec.
Hi Lucky, I suggest that you have a technician come around and carry out a diagnostic scan on your vehicle. It may be a safety fail safe system stopping the vehicle from starting if there is a problem with the steering. The read out and error message means there is a problem which needs attending to and simply canceling the code will not solve the problem which has caused the warning. Regards John

I can help you to fix this problem. "Fault code: P1557 - Turbo Boost pressure control exceeded"
But I need some info from your engine:
- what type of engine do you have (engine code: ex.ALH, AJM, AWX, ...) or power in kW (PS)
- how many km (miles) are your car?
