Hi, I have a c70, 2004 with 91000 and having problems starting. I'm just reaching out to other owners to see if there is a solution. I have changed the ignition ring, fuel sensor and just yesterday was told by a mechanic it's my keys that are causing the problem. He suggested that I go to a Volvo dealer and purchase new keys. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, I love this car and would like to keep it If I can find the problem. thanks

I have replaced many of these, and it is a very difficult job. There are many steps you need to take as you are removing and re-installing the new window regulator that are crucial for a properly adjusted and operable window. Find someone who has experience replacing these or you will have wind and water leaks, and the door will not open or close like it should. Sorry to be a downer, but this is the reality of your situation.

Hello,
Have you made sure the rotor is turning in the distributor, as this sound like a cambelt failure.
Sorry to bear bad tidings if this is so.

Please get an individual to disconnect the former security and you can get a new one installed.

It's the solinoid. It's placed alongside the distributor. A coil about 1" around, and 2" long loosen, disconect the cable and lead coming out of it, repalce, and it will run fine then.
