Reset computer disconnecting battery

Have a 2007 SRX, problem is that gets very sluggish. comes right only when I remove the battery terminals and reset the computer. after a few rides it reverts back to being sluggish and has little power. I have to really put foot down to make it move, what could cause this. I have taken it to the dealers and they cant pick up a fault. please help.

The fact you say that disconnecting and resetting the computer tells me the following::
This sounds like it is going into "Limp mode" a mode the computer puts the vehicle into when it detects something is wrong , or sometime is programed to do this when the vehicle is way overdue for its service, I would suggest that you take it to a reputable dealer and ask them to read the computer to see what fualt codes are showing , this should help solve the mystery or at least point you in the right direction.
The onboard computer is forcing the vehicle into the "Limp Mode" your dealer yould know this and should have checked the onboard computer first

All I do is disconnect the negative from the battery to clean it and I put it right back on in my truck is in limp mode and I don't know how to get it off

Disconnecting the battery can sometimes cause the vehicle's computer to reset, which can result in it entering "limp mode" to protect the engine and transmission. This mode is designed to limit the vehicle's speed and power to prevent further damage until the underlying issue is resolved.
To get your truck out of limp mode, you may need to reset the vehicle's computer by following these steps:
  1. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the battery terminals (both the positive and negative cables).
  3. Touch the positive and negative cables together (away from the battery) to discharge any remaining energy in the system.
  4. Wait for at least 15 minutes before reconnecting the battery terminals (first the positive and then the negative).
  5. Start the engine and see if the limp mode has been resolved.

Have a 2007 cadilac srx what size battery do i need

Should be a Group (BCI) 101 battery - compare old battery dimensions and terminal positions with replacement before buying as this may not be the same for all V6 and V8 engines.

Reset 2007 6.0 Lumina service kilometer display

please follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
  • 1 Open the hood of the Lumina.
  • 2 Locate the negative battery terminal on the battery. This has a black wire and is identified by a negative "-" stamped on the battery housing.
  • 3 Disconnect the negative battery terminal using a box-end wrench and isolate it so it does not come back into contact with the negative battery post.
  • 4 Leave the negative battery terminal disconnected for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 5 Reconnect the negative battery terminal and recheck the service-engine-soon light by starting the car.

How do i resest the computer on a 2007 chevrolet tahoe?

disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for about 1-2 minutes this should reset to factory specs and turn out any warning lights that may be on ...however note you will lose the radio settings unless you hookup a secondary power source to it {unless you have the code to unlock it after disconnecting the battery as this on most vehicles comes as an anti theft deterrent ...if you need to reset the radio code if you do not have one check your owners Manuel perhaps the salesman wrote it down in there as well as it may be under warranty as of yet i am not sure of your circumstances but this is how it is done
