Toyota yaris in limp mode with p0705/stability control light illuminated

My question is...Since the only codes showing on OBD are 2 seperate p0705,both related to transmission selector switch(possible short/harness corrosion, etc)would that have put my car into limp mode?I accelerated from a stop at a red light and the tranny was suddenly in 2nd gear...Drove two blocks and pulled over. Coded the car and only 2 p0705 codes show up.Why would my car go into limp mode over this?Tranny had no symptoms,no other symptoms previous to this incident.

either fit a manual gearbox or change the control computer for the autobox,no work then do what i did and buy a old van and do kerbside mechanics better than nothing , i know when its raining and cold but at least you will earn a living and buy your spares from a autofactor and not a corner shop
