I have a 2008 Nissan Frontier with a Rockford Fosgate XM radio that does something similar. I have seen the display use the full 16 characters and then go back to showing only 4-5 or so characters. I can't figure out why. It seems to happen randomly. It is very annoying because when I want to know the name of the song or artist the displayed characters don;t tell me enough. So far I have talked to Nissan and XM and neither one really understands the problem let alone has a solution to it. I have e-mailed Rockford Fosgate and am awaiting their reply.

1st you will need to contact Infiniti, so they can quote you the option which is $700.00 something dollars when i checked. Just because its equipped there are still things that need to be added in order to make it function. As per the mechanic. Rip off.
