Noise starts when I brake and glide to a stop. less of a noise (less thumping) (sounds like something is rolling around in the trunk) if I slow down and glide to a stop and don't push as ******* the brakes.

jack up the rear wheel and spin it, do this with the other wheels chocked for safety, and listen for any rubbing sound, do this with both rear wheels and if one is bad then remove the drum again to check if the retainer has come off of the brake lining, hope this helps you.

the rear shoes need to be cleaned and adjusted. nothing to worry about unless it annoys you too much.
SOURCE: Thump when applying brakes. No, vibration from steering wheel.
have you had your under car checked lately ???
take it to local garae get an oil change since they are cheep
once car up in the air tell him the problem they will find it probably and you can call arround for estaments or the parts tell him to look at the bushings they usualy thump if it is a twang then start looking at the springs but they will usualy only twand in turns lock to lock '
