Window won't close - 1987 BMW 3 Series

Could be the master switch because the drivers window is mostly used, or the window motor/regulator. same reason. Easy to check with a volt/ohm meter. You'll need wiring/pin outs for electrical.

Have to remove the inner door panel, to see the problem

Faulty switch on passenger door, take out and replace or clean with crc cleaner

Some sunroofs have a open switch like the drivers window. You push it and the window will open automaticly. The button on your sunroof could be jammed so even though you can close it as soon as you release it, it will auto open on it's own.

What worked on my Buick Terraza was: Car parked.Keys in your hand. Put the key in the ignition and turn it one position then press the button of the switch to close the windows (without doing anything else in between).

Time to wander through the spaghetti of wires and contacts with voltmeter looking for a closed circuit to ground. Sounds like the radio is where to start.

Check the wiring for the door thats going into the passenger compartment alot of the times from the excesive opening and closing the doors the wires will break check it out and let me know if that works
