This is normal. Cooling fans today are not turned by the fan belt but are run by and electric motor. The fan continues running until the collant temperature is reduced

My fan will not shut off when I shut the engine off

How long does it run? some cars will run the fan for a few minutes to ensure that too much heat does not build up under the hood. Wait for 5 minutes and see if it is still running when the engine is off. If it is you may have a bad temperature sensor. Does the engine temperature gauge work properly?

Cooling fan won't shut off.

If an engine is hot, the cooling fan will continue to run even after the engine has been turned off.
If the fan runs when the engine is cold, you probably have a temperature sensor issue.

I have reno megane 04 my fan continues running when my car is not running i have had the air presureit has just happened again sensor replaced bu

Many cooling systems are designed to let the cooling fan continue to run even after shutting down the engine...however, this should only last for a minute or so...your owners manual may help. If the fan never stops when turned off this is probably a faulty resistor...may need a good mechanic to confirm which...Hope this helps.

Cooling fan continues to run after engine shut off.

The fan runs for a short time, after ignition off, to continue to cool the hot engine.

The car runs great but when I shut off the engine the fan continues to run. How can I get it to shut off?

The fan is controlled by a thermostat, it will (should) shut off by itself after a few minutes, after the engine has cooled down a bit.

If it continues to run after about ten or fifteen minutes (i.e., it does not shut off at all, and will run the battery down if you leave it overnight), then most likely the fan relay is sticking on, and should be replaced. Less likely is that the fan thermostat is bad.

But if it turns off by itself after about five minutes, this is normal and desirable, it gets some of the excess heat out of the engine.

Cooling fan didnt shut off when ignition was turned off

It is the cooling fan relay,it will be in the fuse/relay box under the hood,on drivers side,or near the fans,if you remove the correct relay, the cooling fans will turn off.Just replace it with a new one from the parts store.
