Make sure you are using premium gasoline and have the car scanned (OBD2) most likely you will need to replace O2 sensor.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 Mercedes Benz SLK 320 w/about 87K

By having it scanned and cleared with an OBD tool. This light comes on when it detects a problem. Could be a bad gas cap, or it could be a misfiring engine. The code you get from having it scanned will pinpoint the trouble area

SOURCE: when I press the power door lock switch on my 2001

Looks like the trunk lock has a problem and not locking with the rest , as the rear lock ia a master lock. You need to check it and replace if necessary.

SOURCE: does the 2001 mercedes slk 320 have a fresh air

Most likely if you have one it will be behind glove box.
You'll have to remove glove box and you'll see it.
Another way to check if you have ACC CABIN filter is to go to parts store and ask them to check by application.
Hope it helps.

the most common problem with those retractable hard tops are leaking hydraulic cylinders. check the insides of your trunk where the top down cylinders are located if there's a leak, and also check the level of the hydraulic fluid situated near the right brake lights.
in your slk manual, there are instructions on how to manually close the roof when the hydraulics fail.

20001 SLK 320 hardtop stopped

It could be an in-line fuse, which you would need to search for, out with the fuse box. Follow the wiring as it enters the driver area, then along to towards the motor for the roof.

320 SLK Coil ticking.

I also have a 2001 SLK 320 with same issue. It is definitely a lifter problem due to the fact that it is occasional. Also, if a coil were bad then it would trigger an engine code ('check engine' light), plus it would run rough for longer. Try some oil treatment first, if that does not work for you then you'd have to replace the lifters.
Honestly, it's a lot of work. I am not sure if I am going to keep it or not. I honestly absolutely love my car but I just don't know now.
