Back hatch won~t open with remote or inside door locks will open manually nothing stuck or jammed?

Found this wiring diagram for lift gate, if that is what we're talking about? Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage. Use a testlite.

The driver door won't lock

if you can manually lock it with key,and from inside the car also
then there is a bad relay

Just bought a used 1998 Volvo S70 (as is). Have 1 remote & it opens the car. Have 3 keys that all start the car, open trunk, but none of them can open the driver's door. That is the only door...

obvious and thats because someone has damaged the lock ,go to dealer and order a new lock for that door with the chassis number and change the lock ,unless the back of the lock mechanism is damaged do the keys turn in the lock and nothing happens or wont they do into teh lock??

Wife taken clio to work with the spare key (no button), she has tried to lock the car but only the passenger side locks, the drivers side is unlocked, how can she lock the drivers door?

Hi,

As you have not stated the Year of Manufacture, I will provide the following possibilities:

Firstly, your wife must be using a sub-key (if no remote function). So, you need to determine if this was a factory supplied sub-key, or was a re-cut duplicate of the master key.

Secondly, the 'most used' key will usually wear out over time (and the driver's barrel lock will sometimes wear in accordance with the most used key), which would mean only that key will operate that door barrel lock successfully.

If the sub-key has not worn to the same degree, chances are the sub-key may not be able to engage properly when inserted into the driver's door lock.

This is common when using a sub-key - sometimes a sub-key won't start the car, but turning the key upside down will often operate the ignition. The same principle would apply to the driver's door lock also.

The key will often operate the door lock if you only insert it about 95% of the way , or simply turn the key upside down and try again.

If the key refuses to operate the driver's door, the other alternative is to enter via the passenger side and reach over to lock the driver's door from the inside. Then lock the passenger door behind you.

However, this is a major hassle, so I would recommend you obtain a replacement Renault key "FOB" remote (you can get these off Ebay reasonable cheaply - supplied with instructions) and program it to your vehicle yourself. This will enable both of you to have a central locking remote key fob.

Note: the remote fob programming feature will obvioulsly depend on the year of manufacture for your vehicle though.

Program remote control for mazda mpv 2002

Courtesy of: forums.mazdaworld.org

Try this, it works on several 2002 models:

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.

Step 2: Lock and unlock the drivers door using the power door lock switch on the door.

Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.

Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.

Step 5: Open and close the drivers door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).

Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.

Step 7: Press any button on remote #1. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.

Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.

Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done
