My driver window switch in 2001 BMW 325 conv. is not working correctly. It doesn't open the window but it closes it if I pushed down or pulled up. I use the all windows switch to open all 4, then I close one at a time to close all but the driver window. Then if I used the driver window button, it closes, but doesn't open even if I pressed on it down, it continue to close. Is it the switch? or the control circuit? and is there a DIY webpage?

If you're talking about the Anti-Theft Security code for your radio, I'm fairly sure that only a BMW Dealership would be able to retrieve and reset the radio.
You could also try disconnecting the battery terminals for 10-20 minutes, and see if it resets.

I have a e60 525i that I just brought and it has the same problem, the owners manual suggests driving with the key in the ignition for a long time as the batteries are rechargable and may have gone flat, i have tried this and it doesnt seem to work
i also read something about getting water in the aerial about the rear window and that wrecks the receiever. My car isn;t under warranty so not looking forwarding to taking it to bmw
SOURCE: window problems/fuse
First of all I believe in the 3 series this procedure works. put the key in the door with the doors closed- turn key and hold it there while you watch the windows roll up automatically. If this does not work you probably have a fuse problem. If it does work then your window switch might just be bad. As to which fuse it is, just look for a blown fuse in the glove box. Apparently these fuse boxes on the 3 series are hard to read? on my sisters 325i it is under the hood and the cover has the information on the back

Sounds like the sensor has faulted or the pump has become disengaged. Usually when the light is flashing it's a sensor. You can check for a pinched line or low fluid also. There is a manual lock overide procedure to get the windows up, it's in you owners manual.
Good luck...i hope this helps,
SOURCE: i need instructions to install a clutch fan on 1987 bmw
The fan/clutch assy has left hand thread. Loosen by turning clockwise.
Remove radiator top shroud & air cleaner assy. to gain access.
Remove engine cooling fan by holding the belt drive pulley with a suitable flat bar tool (that fits over the top of the drive pulley attachment bolts), then using a suitable flat spanner to unscrew the fan clutch assy (clockwise). When re-fitting, tighten clutch nut to 30 ftlb.
You may need to use a bit of ingenuity in making the flat bar holding tool, unless you are able to procure the BMW tool #11.5.030.
Good luck
