If there is only high speed fan, then replace the resistor assembly in the heater plenum. If there is no fan at all, then check the ground to the blower- the wire fails down in the fender well. Just run a new ground from a convenient spot to the motor's plug harness. Or it could just be a bad blower motor.

maybe when he changed the alt he blew out the ground on the blower and its all electronicks inside blower like transistors i changed mine yesterday i did but it from the junk yard for 50 bucks runs now as new see that plug on outside blower its a 3 line plug test it to see if its got current with a light electrical tester its a big job to replace blower if you dont know the trick to it suposly a 1 hour job i was charged for this labour 90 bucks took this meckanick about 3 to 4 houres its comlicated if they start geting lost in the engine compartment u have to remove the back uper engine lifters cover remove the cruise control cerveau and a couple of plugs wires lower the motor a bit in order to get the old blower out after replacing blower got to put new gasket on engine where rear lifters engine cover mine was done in close to 4 houres i have the deville 94 4.9 engine its trouble many garages with knolege say they dont want to work on this car its like tabu this car wata shame so tight in that engine copartment you realy got to strugle to work on that car the blower i got from the junk yard came out of a 97 deville i did like about 3 days of research just on that blower motor instalation when i told the head mechanick he said your joking they dont like to be told or helped so mutch for stupidity or pride on mechanicks behalf i read i learn and wiling to learn from any 1 just about any thing i need in life some are badly close minded go figure.

replace the blower motor speed control module, it is shorted.

The blower control module has failed it is located on the fire wall in the blower housing. they may show a pic in the repair manual.You can access free repair manuals online @ google ebooks and autozone.com

Hello. I recommend replacing the blower relay. Go to any auto parts store and they will sell you the correct relay and possibly even plug it in for you. it is under the dash board. regards, Joe
