Belt routing diagram for 06 buick lucerne cxs

The cxs has the northstar v8. Belt rrouting is different than the cadillac.

According to Dayco, this is it. Give a quick holler if this doesn't make sense, sometimes they get it wrong. Engine code is always nice to make sure.

SOURCE: Cadillac 1993 northstar serpentine accessories drive belt.

the pullys with the groves need the ribbed side of the belt. and the pullys with the flat serfice need the back side of the belt. if u try it a few difrent ways u should be able to put it on in a few minuts

Alternator
A good mechanic with all the special tools can do it in an hour. Releasing and reinstalling the serpentine belt is what the special tool is needed for. the rest is simple socket wrenches to get the mounting bolts out.
