SOURCE: When 1999 Toyota sienna xle check engine light is

If the light was flashing when it came on, then it means your engine is misfiring.

A solid light can mean anything from a loose/faulty gas cap to a transmission issue.

This light comes on when the computer detects a fault of some sort in its diagnostic tests. If it keeps detecting this issue, the light will remain on. If the light turns off, then it has detected that the issue may no longer be present.

In order to find out what the exact reason was for your light, You need to have your car computer scanned to retrieve the code that the computer would have stored when the light triggered. Most garages will do this free of charge. The code will tell you what may have caused the light to initially turn on.

SOURCE: Check engine light came on. OBD2 gave me 5

Take it to autozone. If you live in USA. They have a thing that checks and they will tell you exactly what the codes mean.

SOURCE: toyota sienna interior lights not working

The problem is in the sunvisor light. You will have to take the light assembly off and you will find wires have become disconnected.

SOURCE: Turn signals and hazard flasher stopped working in

Yes, you are on the right track. More than likely it is a defective flasher relay as one relay controls turn signal and hazard flash. The flasher relay is located behind the left side of the instrument panel.

Andrews answer is correct check the codes and after you might find your crankshaft or camshaft synchronizer sensor is shot or the idle air control valve is not maintaining an idle high enough and is failing while trying to keep the engine running

Have a 2008 toyota sienna and the check engine light is on. It said o2 sensor I replaced and still check engine light is on.

Codes DON'T tell you what to replace

Study OBD2 Systems

You just had a sensor reporting an out
of range condition

You then have to diagnose the reason

I have a 1998 toyota sienna with 132,000 miles on it. Recently I noticed a "shuddering" or hesitation while driving that was intermittent at idle and driving. The check engine light came on...

my name is Jerry Tiet. Base on my experience on 1998 Toyota Sienna with the DTC P0303 show there is a misfire in cylinder #3. a possible cause is the ignition coil of the #3 cylinder. Compare the resistance value of the ignition coil of cylinder #3 with the other coil or simply switch ignition coil #3 with one of the other ignition coil and clear the DTC with the scan tool. Then run engine for couple days. If the check engine light on again. Let me know what is the DTC code.

2006 Toyota Sienna just got Check engine/servie Light at 67000 miles. Is this a regularly scheduled service light?

Verify that check light engine if you have to connect a scanner OBD2 code for you and you can determine which is the sensor that has problems

After running 70-75 mph for for 2-3 min service engine light starts flashing but goes right back off when speed is reduced to under 60-65 mph

a flashing check engine light means a misfire, you should go to one of your local parts stores and have them read your code. your code will tell you which cylinder was misfiring and if there are any other codes that may also be related to your problem. but it could need anything from a fuel filter to a catalytic conveter or just a tune-up, getting those codes could greatly narrow it down
