2002 Lincoln LS V6 high beams stuck on

A few weeks ago I clicked the turn signal stalk on my 2002 Lincoln LS to switch to high beams. The high beams came on but I couldn't switch back to low beams. The high beam blue indicator stays on on the dash. Had to pull the high beam fuses to force the lights to shut off. Now only have low beams. The other functions on the turn signal stalk still work (wipers and signals) but not the high beam function.

Thanks Ricky. I assume you mean the high beam switch inside the turn signal stalk on the steering wheel?

The problem could be a relay or the switch.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: DRL and High Beam do not work right on Honda Accord EX 1998

Some time back I found some data on a similar website suggesting that the Day Light Running circuit board, just under the steering column, developed cracks in some of the soldered joints. Your high beams should also be affected with loss of day light running lights.
Resoldering repaired the continuity of the circuits. Ours is now working quite reliably. Some of the defective areas developed slight brownish discoloration, that's how I was told to recognise the areas to be resoldered. Hope this will help you solve your problem.

$35 sounds right for the lever. It definitely sounds like it's your lever acting up as the contact seems to be stuck

How do I turn off flasher with my Saturn SL1

is this the turn signal your referring to or the the headlight high beam? Try the basics first. I might suggest silly, obvious things here but even I've done stuff like this.
The stalk switch should turn the turn signal off by flicking it up or down. (Left side of the steering column behind the steering wheel). If your high beam is staying on try pulling the same stalk towards you feeling for the 'click' as the lights switch back to dipped beam.
If none of this works the switch itself could be faulty.
The Saturn is an older car so parts will wear out.

Were in my 2000 Pontiac gunfire would my high beams be located? Plz

Did you mean the Sunfire? Most cars have a standard layout for driving controls. The high beam switch is on the same stalk as your turn signal. Push the stalk away from you to switch to high beam an pull the stalk towards you to switch them back to dipped beam. Pulling towards you also flashes your high beams.
I've added a link for a Sunfire Owner's Manual. https://my.gm.com/content/dam/gmownercenter/gmna/dynamic/manuals/2000/pontiac/sunfire/2000_pontiac_sunfire_owners.pdf#page67

It's the turn signal switch that is faulty.

High beam flashing

Ground wire from backside of headlight pod to radiator support area may be loose / corroded ?? common issue also Turn signal switch = the stalk on left side of steering column is used frequently for signal lights . Is it loose / wobbly / or easy to engage signal with no resistance or click sound ? If so then Turn signal switch has flash to pass or on / off high beam that wears out = wrecker is cheapest as a new one can be 100.$$ plus .

We have a new to us 2001 chevy blazer and we don't know how to turn the high beams on and off

I believe in a Chevrolet you push the left stalk (turn signal stalk) foward for high beam and back for low. If you have the lights on low beam and pull the stalk back, you'll "flash" your high beams.

2001 Chev Cavalier LS sedan. Low beam on right works, high beam does not, also high beam on left works, low beam does not. These problems both exist simultaneously. Therefore only one headlamp is on...

Check to make sure both head lamp bulbs are identical, ie; part numbers. If they look similar but are different numbers that can cause this issue.

The low beam lights do not work I have tried a new bulb and replacing the fuses. the high beam lights do work

You may have to check a few items here. Do the high beam lights only work when you "flash" from the combination stalk or do they work when you have headlight switch turned on and then select high beam from stalk..? You may also want to check out the headlight relay. If this is OK, you might have a headlight switch issue or the combination stalk may be faulty.

2000 impala-low beams don't work but high does

sounds like the problem is the dimmer switch, get a price on the dimmer switch. If you have to, get one at a junk yard . It's cheaper.
