I have a 2008 mini cooper s convertible. I recently received failure codes P1747, P0700, and P1611. I have looked everywhere online and the only explanation I can find is the TCM. I have also looked and I...

P1747 is a CANBUS fault, P0700 is a transmission fault and P1611 is a communication issue between the TCM and the main bus link.
More than likely a broken wire in the loom or connected to the loom.
Depending on the manufacturer of your tramasmission, Aisin/SAAB etc it is mointed on the gearbox.
Check the looms first!

P1610 and P1611 codes are showing on my 08 nissan rogue

Hello. Diagnostic code P1611 means you have low voltage at your relay box; code P1610 means someone kept starting that car 5+ times. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Byundai trouble code p1611

Hi there:
DTC P1611 - MIL request signal circuit low input

This code is for a short to ground in MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) system. Possible causes are short to ground between the ECM (Engine Control Module) and the TCM (Transmission Control Module), faulty ECM or faulty TCM.

A Hyundai scanner is required to test the ECM and TCM.
A short to ground means that wire is shorting out to ground(exposed wire touching metal). faulty means that the ECM or TCM is not working properly.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Hi i got an error code of p1611 thank u

P1611 =
MIL request signal circuit low input MIL-on Request Line

This code is set when the MIL On Request from the TCM (Transmission Control Module) has/had a problem getting the information to the ECU (Engine Control Module). In the 98 Elantra, there are two separate computer modules; one for the engine, the other for the transmission. (both located under the dash Driver's side. The diagnostic procedure specifies the wiring between the ECM & TCM be checked for any damage/defects. If none found, then replace the TCM with a new one to see if the problem (code) occurs again. If communication between TCM & ECM is corrected, you should have a ****** code related to the MIL On Request from the TCM (****** codes begin with P07 w/the next two digits (??) identifying the specific transmission component/malfunction).

You can also Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop & owner manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc
