Do i have to reprogram the ecm after a engine swap
Hi not on changing the mechanical part the ecm and transponders already match as long as u dont have to change ecm no program is required ex if u have a four cyl and u installed a 6 cyl u need new ecm that wont match including the wiring and ecm that would have to be programed to match bcm body computer module danny

If you live near an AutoZone they used to offer free check engine light diagnostics.
See what code they can retreive from the computer with their device and check it against the list of codes. It may not just be a missing Gas cap code. There are hundreds of codes computers can return.

Call your parts department at your local Hoda dealer and give them the serial number. It's usually a four digit number.
