When running on level it's shuddering very lightly but when climbing a hill we start to slow down it's like we are losing power but we get to the top and pick up speed
The p38 is a bit sluggish and slow on long steep hills, really not geared for performance but more as a piece of heavy equipment. strong horsepower wise very formidable powertrain but you're not going to have that get up and go that many drivers look for. couple quick suggestions you may want to check your plugs and wires a common weak spot in the ignition system, and i might suggest also running i can of seafoam through your engine. you deposit in your gas tank runs through with the half a tank of gas. i'm not a big advocate of fuel additives or octane boosters but in the case of seafoam it's definitely a worthwhile and proven product. don't forget also your sport mode button down next to your shift lever push that button down and it keeps your transmission from overdrive so you can accelerate into freeway traffic and climb hills without your transmission shifting

yeah, don't drive so fast!!!!...seriously i would do what has to be done anyway to start. change fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires. these have to be done at some point if they haven't been.. if that solves your problem, if not look at fuel pump, injectors.u didn't say if it used to go faster, maybe there is a limiter.

Hi Adam,
Bring your vehicle to an auto parts or battery store. Ask if they could perform a 'Load Check' on your battery. This not only checks the voltage, but also the amps, as if it were under the load of turning your engine.
It takes a few seconds and the results are pass or fail. Fail means it's time for a new battery. Pass means we need to look elsewhere.

The Solenoid fitted on the Steering Rack is not getting the command from The Body Control Unit. Kindly Replace your BCM and then your problem is solved. You can try to make sure by giving direct current of 12v to the solenoid and check the Steering. if it works then simply change the BCM as it's not giving d command to the Solenoid. Salman EiD

I have finally found out the power loss issue with my p38 the head gasket was on its way out !!!
