My coolant level drops about two cups every two months, there is no coolant on the ground, there is a small drip of water on the garage floor about middleways bottom of engine after driving it.
The water drops if its clear is most likely air conditioner, but have you looked at the water pump, before they go completely bad the show signs of leakage, look for trails that have dried around the hole of the pump. It should be clear around pump if that is the problem.
There are only a few ways coolant can get out of the cooling system.
First check where the hoses connect to the radiator to make sure they are completely dry. Then check directly under radiator to make sure it isn't damp. Sometimes the radiator cap will go bad and allow some coolant to leave. You can replace the radiator cap relatively cheap. The very worst way you can be loosing coolant is thru a blown head gasket. The coolant slowly leaks into the cylinder and is burned. You would have to go to a mechanic to have this verified.

The condensation inside the hood would bee from the coolant boiling out of the reservoir when it overheated. However, there must be a reason for the overheating and I can imagine it is not good. If you JUST purchased this car, you should be protected by the Lemon Law. Return the car to the dealership and insist that THEY find the problem or supply you with another car.
If you have had it a while, then find good mechanic before you warp the head and trash the motor.

Hi:
It is common for the sensor to fail on these. It is part of the coolant tank cap assembly.

Cars that are idle for a long time are often difficult to start.
One solution is to tow them in gear (not so hard on the battery).
